A native of Scotland, Jennifer Brodie grew up with her nose buried in the latest Mills and Boon romance. But after reading Jilly Cooper’s “Octavia” in the late ‘80s, there was no going back to those too-perfect heroines – Jennifer was hooked on the Octavias of the world, with their flawed characters, bad hair days and complete and utter lack of inner poise.
After leaving high school, Jennifer worked in a bank, but soon realized her future didn’t lie in misfiling statements and buying cream cakes every Friday. She trained as a physiotherapist and, before her husband’s work took them to America, had the dream job of working on the Island of Great Cumbrae – it remains one of her favorite spots on the planet.
Once settled in New England, Jennifer decided to try her hand at writing romance. She joined the New Hampshire Romance Writers of America® and immersed herself in learning the craft and business of writing, having a raucous time along the way with her new-found writing friends.
Jennifer Brodie lives in New Hampshire with her Scottish husband and their two boys, where she is fiercely guarded by her fluffy piranha of a dog named Buster. When not lost in story land, Jennifer can be found mowing the dandelions or scaring her boys with a new recipe.
